songs played on tour

There were 110 shows by the Ian Anderson Band in 2012, plus 18 by the Martin Barre Band/Martin Barre's New Day.

We're still unsure of several setlists - can you help?

In a November 2011 interview, Martin Barre was reported as saying that there are no plans for any more Jethro Tull albums or tours at this time.
In future, Martin will participate in two new bands. One will perform his own material, and "there are going to be two tribute bands on the road; Ian's solo band and mine".

26/1/12Ullstein-Halle (Axel-Springer-Haus)Berlin, Germany

Ian presented an award at the B.Z. Kulturpreis ceremony.
Ian, Florian and John O'Hara also played:
10-min 'improvisation' based on Mozart's 'Die Zauberflöte', Locomotive Breath

24/2/12NikolaisaalPotsdam, Germany

Ian Anderson Band with the Filmorchester Babelsberg.
Audience: 700 (sold out). Running time: 120 mins.
Living In The Past, Life Is A Long Song, Mother Goose, Pastime With Good Company, Wond'ring Aloud, Griminelli's Lament, Opahle Instrumental (based on Bach's Toccata & Fugue in D minor), Thick As A Brick (incl. 'Poet and Painter'), Bourée - [Interval] - New instrumental, A Change Of Horses, Cozy Corner (from 'TAAB2'), Pavane, Budapest, My God, Aqualung, Locomotive Breath
'New instrumental' based on a piece by Johann Joachim Quantz, flute teacher of Friedrich II (der Große). Played to commemorate Friedrich's 300th anniversary, it also featured elements of 'Happy Birthday'.

2/4/12Release of 'Thick As A Brick 2: Whatever Happened To Gerald Bostock?' album by 'Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson'.

40th Anniversary 'Thick As A Brick' Tour(s).
Billed as "Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson Plays Thick As A Brick" ("Ian Anderson will undertake a series of tours commemorating the 40th anniversary of his Jethro Tull album Thick As A Brick.").
Featuring the first performances of the complete piece since 1973 (yes, 1973!), plus the complete 'Thick As A Brick 2'.
Early billing offered "theatrical interjections", "special guests alongside Ian's band" and (according to at least one venue) "plenty of Jethro Tull hits thrown in". However, none were apparent at the start of the tour.
Line-up: Ian, Ryan O'Donnell (additional vocals), Florian Opahle, John O'Hara, David Goodier, Scott Hammond
