This point is about halfway down a descent of almost 200 m (656') in under 2 km (1.2 miles); the gradient is between 1 in 7 and 1 in 5 for most of the way, and even steeper toward the bottom. I'm rather glad that H & D gave me a lift back to the top, on the return trip!
