Brant Fell, Howgill Fells, seen from Ingleborough, North Yorkshire, UK, 6 December, 2008

The clear air and telephoto lens made Brant Fell look only a few kilometres away, rather than the actual 22 km to the head of Middle Tongue, the 'lobe' between the valleys of Hobdale Gill and Grimes Gill.
The ridge in the foreground, with the dry stone wall, is Combe Scar on Whernside, 4 km from the camera, but the marginally darker part behind, which initially looks like a continuation of the same ridge, seems to be High Pike, a further 3 km away beyond Kingsdale.
