The drifting snow muted the hillside's surface texture, so this close-up of the previous image clearly shows today's route as a disturbed line on the smooth slope: starting from Crina Bottom at the lower left of the image, the footpath zig-zags up to the summit plateau.
The snow also unified the slope's colours to near-monochrome, highlighting the shape of the giant landslide.
