The River Conder curves across the foreground, beneath the Langthwaite ridge. Beyond that, Lancaster University sprawls across the middle of the photo.
Glasson (Dock) occupies the left of the curve in the Lune Estuary, alongside the mouth of the Conder. Overton and Sunderland are not really visible on the far bank, which terminates at Sunderland Point. Plover Scar Light is a little further to the left.
