The Royal Liver Building is obvious on the left of the skyline, amongst the more modern high-rise developments north of the city centre (the tallest is the Beetham Tower West). One can almost read the time on the clocks, from 23½ km away. The dark dome of the Port Of Liverpool Building is just visible near the Liver Building, but the other obvious landmark is St. John's Beacon (the Radio City tower) at the right of the image. The nearer houses are in Little Neston, on the English side of the Dee Estuary. |
