Lodge Hall, Selside, near Ribblehead, North Yorkshire, UK, 26 July, 2008
Though Grade II Listed and still occupied as a working farmhouse, the hall (also known as 'Ingman Lodge', 'ingman' possibly being a corruption of 'hangman') is also on the Buildings At Risk register as 'in poor condition'. The date stone over the door states '1687', but the arrangement of windows looks older and I've found references to a 12th Century foundation stone. |
