There's some debate about the correct title of the installation.
According to Andy Goldsworthy's own catalogue, which explains that the pillars were erected for the Abbeystead estate of the Duke of Westminster, one per year 1999-2001, the title seems to be 'Clougha Pike', but that might just refer to the installation's location. It's fairly certain that the title isn't 'The Three Chairs' – that name is marked on the Ordnance Survey map, but indicates a point 500m to the south-west (this is SD550592, that's SD556595); evidently an entirely different feature, despite the name being credibly apt.
That's Caton wind farm in the background, with the Yorkshire Dales on the horizon.
