The easiest, though not shortest, route to the installation is the shooting track from Littledale Road. Just follow the gravel track, which at no point is steeper than a Land Rover could manage so is an easy walk, to the ridgetop then across the moor to this point, the closest the track passes the pillars. A little further to the left, a path cuts through the heather to the top, so there's no need to strike straight across the moor.
