That's the Black Side of Ward's Stone filling the horizon again. I briefly considered whether 'black side' refers to the north-west -facing slope predominantly being in shade, but there's also a 'Black Side of Tarnbrook Fell' ~2 km beyond Ward's Stone on the other side of the ridge, which has an unobstructed southerly aspect. |
