
Waves from Chapel Porth cliffs, near St. Agnes, Cornwall, UK, 1 January, 2008
The visual attraction of the breaking waves seen in subsequent photos is obvious, but I also loved the instant before each broke.
The grey-green water rose up, turning a vibrant turquoise as it lost its apparent opacity, then just before it became fully translucent, an aura of fine spray appeared, then a white crest, then... bang! |
