Moelwynion from Ffridd Nant-Crethyll forest, between Bala and Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, UK, 11 August, 2007
The Moelwyns (Moelwynion in Welsh) are the core of one of Snowdonia's main mountain groups. Moelwyn Bach (710 m asl), on the left, is linked to Moelwyn Mawr (770 m asl) by the jagged Craigysgafn ridge.
This is a good illustration of how much more 'spiky' Snowdonia tends to be than other National Parks in England and Wales.
