Looking north from Leck Fell, Lancashire, near Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria, UK, 14 July, 2007

The steep-sided valley just visible on the right in that of Ease Gill. Though barely apparent from here, it crosses the width of this image, separating Leck Fell (foreground) from the open moor of Casterton Fell/Barbon High Fell. One can see a few swallow holes in the cloud-shadowed area on the left; Cow Pot and Lancaster Hole are just off the left of the photo.
The large ridge in the background is the southern edge of Middleton Fell, on the far side of Barbondale. The highest point, in shadow, is Calf Top, at 609 m asl.
