Sinkhole and cave near Marble Steps Pot, Ireby Fell, near Ingleton, North Yorkshire, UK, 26 May, 2007

The Ordnance Survey labels this, one of a line of large depressions extending ~200 m south-west from Marble Steps Pot, as a shake hole. However, technically it's a doline: a depression in the surface bedrock caused by solution of limestone, as opposed to an underground cavity (a cave), or a depression only in the overlying boulder clay (a shake hole).
