Looking east-south-east across the moors of the Forest of Bowland. There's nothing substantial in that direction for tens of kilometres.
This photo was taken from Lancashire, but if I crossed the fence, I'd be in North Yorkshire. The Stone has been the county boundary for as long as the counties have existed.
