
St Wilfred's Church, Halton, near Lancaster, UK, 27 January, 2007
The Grade II Listed church has been here since at least 1067, though the tower was added in the 16th Century and the rest of the church was rebuilt in 1792 and 1877 (so is it the same church?).
I wasn't aware of it at the time, so didn't take a photograph, but a Norse cross just to the right of this image is over a millennium old. |
