Deeside from Bickerton Hill, Cheshire, UK, 1 January, 2007

The distant landmarks probably won't mean much to non-locals, but they mark the extreme north-eastern margin of Wales.
The most obvious object is the Dee Bridge, a central pylon fringed by radiating suspension cables. To its left, the four towers are the 'new' (1996) gas turbine power station in Connah's Quay. Rather further to the left are three tower blocks in Y Fflint (English: Flint). I think the bluish-grey building to the immediate right of the bridge is Shotton paper mill, one of the UK's largest.
The low, slightly nearer buildings are the British Aerospace (once De Havilland) aircraft factory in Broughton, source of the massive wings of the Airbus A380 airliner.
