That's today's destination on the horizon: Peckforton Hill (with the tower of the castle visible) merging into Bickerton Hill on the right, with Beeston Castle on its own hill to the left.
The nearer tower on the plain is at Eaton Hall, the home of the Duke of Westminster, owner of extremely valuable land in central London (as his title rather implies) plus extensive areas of grouse moorland in my home region of Northern Lancashire.
The England-Wales border is just beyond the green fields.
