Considering the interpretation my family applies to these trees, it was a little startling to preview this image on the camera's screen and see what looked like white vapour – which wasn't visible to the naked eye – rising from the branches. It was only the light catching the twigs of the tree behind, of course, and the effect is less apparent in the larger, downloaded image, but have another look at the thumbnail.
