Looking into Dentdale, the larger valley going right to left. Note the near-perfectly straight dry stone walls on the far slope, each at least a kilometre long to the the top of the ridge (the highest visible point is Aye Gill Pike, at 556 m asl).
Deepdale's hay meadows are protected as a Special Area of Conservation, apparently.
