I've been looking for Alan Ward's stone letters for years. I'd read that this instalation existed, but thought it was on the other (northern) bank of the river, and hence buried by a sandbar. In fact, I've double-checked, and the City Council's leaflet about the River Lune Millennium Park clearly states it was on the north bank. It must have been moved, possibly because it was being buried.
