Church of St. John the Evangelist, Calder Vale, near Garstang, Lancashire, UK, 15 October, 2006
Built by public subscription on donated land some distance from the village
, the church opened in 1863, about thirty years after the village itself was founded. I presume the Quaker mill
owners (and by default, landlords of Calder Vale itself) weren't fans of the established church of England.
