This is the western gate lodge of Wyreside Hall (home of the annual North West Festival of Motoring); nothing to do with the Lancaster-based Masonic lodge of the same name (so far as I know...). I've always thought its squat, flat-roofed shape and portico make it look like a mausoleum, though the presence of a chimney is a bit of a giveaway.
