Though (or perhaps because) it looks less opulent than the nearby catholic church, I prefer the appearence of this, the village's Anglican church. A church, originally dedicated to St. Michael, is recorded as having been here in 1094, but the current Perpendicular-style, Grade II* Listed building was constructed in about 1500; the nave and chancel were rebuilt in the 19th Century. |
