The gully incised into the moor leads to Trow Gill, whilst the stand of trees, Rayside Plantation, is directly above Ingleborough Cave. The path entering the left of the photo leads from Gaping Gill.
Thwaite Scars are sunlit, on the far side of Clapdale. Beyond that: the wilds of Yorkshire (here be dragons in flat caps), towards Settle and Malham.
