The summit cairn of the Old Man of Coniston is in sight on the furthest peak, but it was difficult to judge scale and distances in such a bleak landscape, and I didn't realise that it was still 2 km away.
Though the nearer 'lump' is substantial too (796 m
asl; the Old Man is 803 m), and has a cairn of its own, it seems to be unnamed.
