The tiny lake in the valley is the disused Greenburn Reservoir. The small sunlit ridge at the junction of the valleys is Castle Howe in Little Langdale, so the valley to the immediate left, perpendicular to the camera, is the start of the Wrynose Pass and the one leading diagonally away to the left heads towards Blea Tarn, with access into Great Langdale. Diagonally away to the right, Little Langdale heads towards Elterwater. As usual, I'm struggling to identify specific landmarks on the horizon, but Helvellyn and Fairfield are in there somewhere! |
