From the architecture and associated buildings, I'd guess this has been a substantial estate farm since at least the 16th Century. This 17th Century farmhouse is Grade II* Listed, which puts it in the top 5% of UK architectural/heritage importance.
Renovated in the 1990s, the house and outbuildings (including a three-bedroom cottage and two barns) was recently sold with a guide price of £1.6 million.
