It would be a bit of an overstatement to call this a beach, but Ordnance Survey maps mark it as saltmarsh, which isn't quite right either.
The Lancashire-Cumbria border crosses this photo, about halfway between this viewpoint and the visible buildings of Silverdale.
Jack Scout is at the far end of the bay, with the Ashton Memorial in Lancaster 'above' that on the horizon. It's a little clearer in the next image.
