I'm rarely able to ignore the word 'waterfall' on a map, so I locked the bike to a signpost and found this, an 'undiscovered' highlight of the region, ~200m from the road. The River Brathay falls ~12m (40') in the cascade; the better-known Skelwith Force nearby is only 5m (17') high.
I'm afraid this was another occasion when the light was too harsh for more 'arty' waterfall photography.
