Market Square, Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria, UK, 13 March, 2005
This is the the town's marketplace, and clearly has been since the Georgian era, when the surrounding buildings were constructed. I presume the prominent building with the clock was a town hall, but it's now occupied by a commercial firm. The covered market cross was donated to the town by the vicar, Revd. Davies, in 1905. |
