The thought doesn't count
My employer has proudly reserved secure cycle parking (an all-enclosing locker) at the local railway station, for the exclusive use of staff.
A slight problem is that the key needs to be booked out of the Estates office, ~5½ km from the station. That's okay if traveling from work, but the geography of Lancaster is such that the vast majority of likely users live within walking distance of the station and over 15 minutes by bike from campus, making the whole exercise more onerous than simply using the station's publicly-available lockers or unenclosed parking.
But it looks good in the promotional literature, right?
