I'm really surprised that none of the interviews I've seen have called politicians out on the glaring inadequacy of the 'I did what I thought was right' arguement. John Ried said it on the BBC and I thought the interviewer would press him on it but instead he let it slide. Although I am loathed to invoke both Godwin's law and a hideous americanism this early on in the proceedings, Hitler thought what he was doing was right...go figure.
