Century of the fruitbat

Lancashire County Council has announced that all of its primary and special schools are to be 'assessed with a view to either replacement or refurbishment'.  The intention is to make at least 50% of the schools 'fit for the 21st century'.

By, er, 2022.

a) they won't do anything that quickly b) they'll make a complete pigs ear of it c) they'll scrap the policy quietly when they realise how much it costs.

Not that I'm cynical about the Council "where people matter" or anything.
