Wind Up

According to the BBC, the UK experiences 'more tornados than any other country in the world'.  That can't be right!

It's not, according to Wikipedia, which says that the US has the most tornados, at about four times as many as all of Europe; the Netherlands has the most per land area. The UK is second on that latter statistic, though.

Thanks (not that I'd trust Wikipedia as far as I could throw it!).

It's an odd claim for a fully-qualified meteorologist to have made – I wonder what was really meant.
